I had took my pup in on 6/20 due to vomiting and a foul odor that to me smelt like death in which I did express this to the tech. I also stated my pup does eat everything in which she had eaten my water hose a couple days prior. My pup hadn’t eaten in two days but was vomiting brown and she was fatigue. I do work in health care so this did give me signs of internal bleeding but I do know animals and humans are different and I truly believed the vet knew best. The vet recommended we start with an x ray and after that her whole demeanor changed. she came back in the room showed me the x ray and stated “ she has bone her intestines that doesn’t look good, she needs surgery. We’ll get you a quote” and walks out. Keep in my mind I have never gave my dog any type of table food or bones. The vet tech comes back with a quote of fluids and an over night stay ranging from 1300-1800. I asked her about the quote for surgery and she had no idea what I was talking about so she had to go speak with the vet and when she came back she had stated the vet wanted to see if my pup could pass it on her own. It brought me comfort that all she needed was to pass it so I decided to take her home and take it upon myself to hydrate her. The vet also was very rude when I decided to do this. Needless to say my pup passed it in which it was my water hose and along with puddles of blood, the odor she defecated out was also the same odor I had smelt on 6/20. So there I was on 6/21 taking my pup to the shelter to be euthanized because she did in fact have a bleed. Every fur baby cannot be saved and I understand that but my pup did not need suffer the way she did and I will forever beat myself up for not going with my gut

I would like to express my concerns regarding my recent experience. First, the staff were unprofessional and discourteous throughout the visit. The only service provided was a Parvo test, for which I was charged $300. No additional treatment, guidance, or medication was offered. I was then informed that a potential stay could cost up to $1,700, partly due to the possibility of administering plasma, which I had already declined. Despite this, the full estimated cost was still expected. I ultimately sought a second opinion from another veterinarian, where I was informed that my dog does not have Parvo. As a result, the $300 charge for the test feels unjustified and a complete waste of money.

Our 9 year old Samoyed/Grt Pyr mix started coughing this past week. By Saturday night, she was having problems with drainage, yacking/coughing and trouble sleeping. Her appetite was fine, but this was not right. We got her in at Pet Dr. 911. They covered the bases, insuring it was not bronchitis (which it was starting to sound like it was) or heart trouble. They treated her for allergies and bronchitis, as a preventative. We may have over-reacted, but we are thankful this service was available on Sunday, and our pup is doing better. This place was quite busy, the entire time we were there, and all the staff were tremendous. Holly, and Dr. Deb, thank you (and the nice lady who took the xrays!) for your care and concern.
